I don't think you could glue an emblem on the car mat and have it stick for very long. Most carpeted mats are made of nylon or polypropylene, so if you try to do an iron on transfer, you are right, it would melt the carpet the mat is made from. Custom mats usually have logos

Is General Motors now serious about small cars in North America?
The company's past history in the subcompact field has been less than stellar. The late Aveo is best forgotten as it, even in its much-improved second generation, compared best to used cars from the major Asian competitors, and never was anywhere near the top of the fuel economy ratings that are so important for that class. GM was putting its development attention everywhere but subcompacts. Now we have the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Sonic. Is it just more of the same?
No. Not even.
After a week with a top-of-the-line Sonic LTZ sedan, it's looking to me like GM finally is serious about building a small car that can sell on more than merely low price. With the LTZ, they've figured it out very well indeed, with a lovely engine and chassis that combine spirited performance and good economy with comfort and plenty of space for the size of the car. It competes with some serious players, and can meet or beat them on its own merits.

I’m flummoxed by the Occupation of my neighborhood car wash. It happened this spring like and late November Eastern Shore day. The Jeep needed a good scrubbing and after finishing my Saturday morning errands I made the car wash the last stop before catching some later afternoon college football. Just as I was spraying wax across the hood I heard a voice. A tall young man behind me asked if I could hose his floor mats. He’d forgotten when he went through another washing bay. I thought nothing of it and obliged. Then as I was applying a spray rinse it struck me I wouldn’t ask someone else to finish my cleaning on their dollar. Sure, it’s a minor issue and I spent just pennies on his mats and, yet. My parents didn’t raise me to approach strangers at car washes and ask if they could cover my rinse. If suddenly I realized I’d forgotten the floor mats I could always return Sunday afternoon or simply rinse them at home.
