Same Clips I had in my 1981 BMW
Ordered these floormat clips that are identical those I had 30 years ago. They work. And if you have/purchase floormats that lack a "hole & floor hook" there is no way to keep them from sliding. These clips are strong and the alligators clips have a vice like grip on the floormat.You need two... -
Replacement
I had these for 20 years in my MB and they were the best. I finally replaced them because they got a little rusty. I was happy to even find they were still made. Delivery was before I expected.

The 2 outer retaining clips are placed in the glove box at the factory and must be installed during Pre-Delivery Service (PDS). IMPORTANT: Make sure the floor mat is properly placed on the vehicle carpet and secured with the 2 locking clips. If the floor mat slips and interferes with the movement of the pedals during driving, it may cause an accident. NEVER install more than one floor mat at a time in the driver’s seating position. Installation Procedure 1. Remove the outer floor mat retaining clips from the glove box. 2. Using a small flat-tip screwdriver, pry the retaining clip flap up. 3. Using a utility knife, remove the retaining clip flap. 4. Insert the floor mat retaining clip insert nut into the mounting hole.
