There have been numerous deaths from the sticky accellators. Now, they FINALLY are taking action until they fix the problem. What took them so long? They first thought it was floor mats, but now it's the accelerators themselves. What gives?...
I noticed that too. It seems as though someone is putting a LOT of pressure on them now.

The Mann Law Firm successfully sued Toyota over defective floor mats that led to the death of Troy Johnson. Johnson was an innocent bystander ...
I love my best friend to death, but sometimes I think she is a floor-mat to her mother-in-law. When her and her husband moved into their new house, her mother-in-law also wanted a new house (so she got one, bigger and better). When my friend...
Yeah its normal to have copy-cat in-laws. I have some myself. The mother-in-law probably wants to be the center of attention in the family. She wants everyone to envy her instead of her daughter-in-law. When your friend wants to do something new, she should keep it to herself

Wednesday State News Briefs: Washington man suing Hartland's Triad Group
WASHINGTON D.C. - A man from Washington D.C. is suing Wisconsin's Triad Group for over $10-million dollars. William Preston West Jr. said he received a Bacillus-cereus infection from using Triad's alcohol pads while being treated for multiple sclerosis.
West said he needed several surgeries -- and he had to go for two months without taking any medicines for his MS. The suit calls for five-million-dollars in punitive damages, plus a million-dollars for his wife Carolyn. Triad, of Hartland, refuses comment on the lawsuit. It previously denied any connection between its alcohol wipes and 11 deaths the government says those products have caused. Triad and its H&P factory were shut down in April, when U.S. Marshals seized over six-million dollars worth of products. A federal consent decree in June spelled out conditions Triad must meet to re-open the plant. It remains closed.
Toyota recall
When somebody says Mercedes you think of quality and exclusivity. When somebody says Ferrari you think of speed, red paint and exclusivity again. When somebody says Volvo you think of safety, and when somebody says Toyota you think of high quality for a smaller price. Considering that the automobile industry is in a decline since the 70 of the last century, Toyota became the biggest and the strongest company in producing and selling cars on the market by producing cars at affordable prices. That is what Toyota’s image was based on in the world and it was working.

Saying that the crisis that struck was all the greater for the number 1 producer of automobiles when they were forced to recall over 7 and a half million cars. It all began with the death of a 4 member family in a car accident on August 28, 2009 when a Toyota Lexus lost control. The official cause of the accident, as it turned out, was simple and deadly. The problem occurred when the gas pedal got stuck under the floor mat. That’s right. The floor mat got the gas pedal stuck which disabled the vehicle from slowing down. This oversight was not rare in Toyota’s vehicles and even though it was of simple nature it had catastrophic consequences for the deceased family as well as for Toyota’s financial and PR situation....
2011 Toyota Sienna: 20000-mile Service
Waiting for a friend...I was at a Toyota dealer, watching them tighten lug nuts on the cars. Ouch! They used an air wrench, rat-tat-tat-tat.. Just kept tightening and tightening. Never once thought of using a torque wrench! Glad it wasn't my car! Immediately I wondered about those poor customer's brake rotors being warped by a crazy over powered air-wrench. If this is "free service" I'd stay away, thanks. Are the Toyota owners that oblivious to warped-shaking brake rotors?
@ mark19, in my personal experience, people who don't like cars (i.e., they don't want their car to make or transmit any noise, they don't want to feel any slight bump on the road, etc) tend to take their cars to the dealer, whereas people who care about cars find a trustworthy local mechanic who actually knows what he's doing and charges a bit less. So yea, I think many of them are oblivious.
