Don't believe everything the makers tell you! The same formula that Hoover sell (and Bissell, Vax and anyone else) is the same formula that 1001 make for hard floors or carpet cleaning. The trick however is to half the solution you would normally use as 1001 is usually low foaming

I have the Floormate. Wonderful machine! I use it on tiled and wooden floors, although on the wood I am careful to get the water back up quickly! Have to admit that once a month I get down on my knees and do the floors really well though! You know what I mean - right into
