Iowa crash site 'one of worst'
The Iowa State Patrol investigator didn't mince words describing the Mills County rollover accident that killed one person and severely injured three others.
"Yeah, this is one of the worst I've seen," said Boyd Burn, a six-year veteran and collision reconstructionist.
The accident shortly before noon Wednesday killed Chance E. Gunderson, 19, of Glenwood, who was a passenger in the vehicle. He died at the scene.
Timothy S. Mahan, 21, of Council Bluffs was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty on Ellington Avenue, a gravel road a few miles northwest of Glenwood.
Mahan reached the crest of the hill and came upon another vehicle, Burn said. He swerved the Jeep to the right side of the road and lost control.
The vehicle traveled along the roadside embankment, rolled several times and came to rest in a grove of trees.
"They were traveling too fast for gravel road conditions," Burn said.
Authorities had not determined how fast the Jeep was going. Burn said investigators found clothing and vehicle debris in trees about 25 feet above the ground.

Passenger Seat Airbag Sensor - Jeep Liberty Forum - JeepKJ Country
Today I bought my first jeep liberty(2002 Sport), came with a few things that I need to fix. I am pretty handy but haven never worked with the Airbag system on any car. This is what I see, The airbag light is on. The previous owner had the passenger side seat belt latch replaced and it looks like they ripped out some wires. I can see the connector that goes back into the rug, its intact and I think it is fine. In the center console I found the wires you see in the attached image. Looking at the Driver side it seems that the wires are supposed to go up into the belt latch, but I need to know where to go from here. Is it possible to just hook these wires together to trick the car into thinking that this is enabled all the time? I will not do this without some guidance, just so it doesn't screw anything up. If not do I just need to take the belt buckle apart and see whats going on in there? Or is this wire supposed to go to another separate...
