My profoundly autistic child figured out how to disable it on her very first try. Unless the child you're buckling is a baby or dexterity-impaired, don't bother. -
Garbage - Better alternatives out there
Simply put, my 3 and a half year old autistic son was able to unlock these routinely after about a month of using them. I didn't believe it till i saw it for myself. In addition, One broke after a week as my wife had difficulty getting it off and a piece snapped off. Poor design, period.

Adult or child. It doesn't matter. Can you at least tell me if the carousel at Fiesta Texas forces you to wear a seat belt/safety belt?
Depends on the owner/operator. Disneyland requires a seatbelt for people (and it might just be children, I'm not sure) on the horses. I've heard that an adult may stand next to a horse with their child on it.
Will you NEED one on any carousel? I doubt it. But
My B/f uses his knee in the car seat and pulls the seat belt as hard as he can to keep the car seat from moving. The little plastic lock end looks like it's going to break from being so tight. It's extremely hard to unbuckle whenever we move it....
It is possible to overtighten a seat belt... but you should put a knee in the seat to tighten it. You want the seat in *tight*... but you do not want to damage the seat or the seatbelt.

October seat belt wave ends in state, message continues
October seat belt wave ends in state, message continues
According to Minnesota Department of Public Safety records traffic deaths are coming down in Minnesota and a higher seat belt use rate is a part of the reason.
As of Oct. 31, 2011 there were 284 traffic deaths in Minnesota compared to 342 at the same time in 2010. The current statewide seat belt usage rate is approximately 92.7 per cent.
State Patrol troopers, county deputies and city officers in Minnesota worked together Oct.14 – 27 watching specifically for seat belt and child passenger restraint violations.
Even though the formal campaign for October has ended, the message will still be continue to be large part of the efforts to save lives and prevent injuries on state roadways.
All drivers and passengers are being asked by law enforcement to buckle up appropriately, every trip and every time. This project was coordinated by the Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety and is a component of the state’s Toward Zero Death initiative (TZD).

Seat belts are extremely important to preventing serious injuries in Portland car accidents. Car accidents will happen sometimes despite every driver being very careful, and we all know that not all drivers are always very careful. Therefore, wearing a seat belt becomes the #1 safety precaution we can all take against injury during an auto accident.
Portland drivers have all heard the reasons to wear seat belts, and actually we’re all doing pretty well. According to a 2010 study by the Oregon Department of Transportation, 97% of Oregon drivers wear seat belts. This means we have the third highest rate of seat belt use in the nation, after Michigan and Hawaii.
Unfortunately, those three percent of people who do not wear seat belts still run the risk of getting injured in a Portland car accident....

Teenager Auto Safety: Ingrain Seat Belt Habit Early
I'm glad I saw this because I hope it can become far reaching and a reminder to parents to chat with their older children about wearing seat belts.
I've said before I live near the high school in Bartow. I also have a daughter that attends Spessard Holland Elementary. I leave to pick her up as the high school is letting out. Essentially I'm driving along beside many teens, a lot of them it seems to be going "my way".
To my point, last week I saw a teenager with two passengers in an open air jeep (no doors) and you could easily see into the vehicle. In the backseat was a young lady I recognized, she's my son's age, not wearing a seat belt. It really affected me to see this. When I was in high school there was a teen I knew that died in an accident, thrown from a Jeep from not wearing their seatbelt.
