i recently put in a 1991-1994 cluster in the 1990 body with an engine swap. every thing works except for the tachometer (rpms). the speedometer, blinkers, and etc works. how do i fix the check grounds and see if wires are hooked up right if the wires are backward it wont work

I think if It wouldn't have a spark It wouldn't be able to start the car again. (correct me if I'm wrong) But I'll check tomorrow anyway. My green/black wire (originally) is my positive + to the coil NOT the red/black like alot of people say around here, replaced by the orange of MSD box. Red/Black is my negative - wire (originally) to the coil replaced by the black wire from the msd Box. (Im talking for my 240sx hatchback) dont know if colors vary for others same model same year but it should. Tach 8910 set to the positive and negative as well (obviously is set right) and positive and negative directly to battery....
